We are proud to contribute to empowering young people in South Africa through our support of the organization Star for Life and its mobile health program.
The Star for Life project was born out of the belief that the future of the Southern African region lies in its youth. The program was founded by Dan and Christin Olofsson and first piloted in 2005. The very positive response provided Dan and Christin with incentives to expand the program. By early 2007, the Star for Life program was also launched in Namibia. Today it is being implemented with success in 120 schools in South Africa and Namibia.
The program is based on the conviction that supporting young people to develop self-esteem combined with belief in their future, they will be inspired to perform well in several areas of life. This also includes taking responsibility for their personal relations and actively contribute to the fight against the HIV/Aids pandemic.
